Great to meet you!

While I was well equipped through Capella University to help those struggling with Crisis/Trauma experiences, PTSD, Moral Injury, Bipolar, Borderline, etc., my most valuable education has come from my clients, many of whom are retired/active duty military (including special forces) & first responders, healthcare workers, individuals who have experienced incarceration, and families who are navigating a teenager through ODD/CD behavioral issues.

My approach to therapy

Simply put, whether you are struggling with one issue or several, my approach involves the following beliefs:

1) If you are reaching out for help, you are not broken--you are hurting and need help adjusting the load life has put on you; 2) Not every issue requires long-term counseling; 3) It is my job to ensure each session is moving toward your identified goals; 4) You are the expert on you, which is why you and I will form a team as we work together through your struggles!

What you can expect from me

Additionally, I will utilize the newest research and evidence based therapies/methods available to me within my scope of training in our work together, including CBT, SFBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, EMDR, CPT, etc. It is my sincere wish that you will find yourself empowered to move forward successfully as you navigate life!
