Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in EMDR therapy for adults navigating trauma, complex trauma, chronic shame, attachment wounds, dissociation, anxiety, identity transitions, and emotionally unsafe relationship patterns. Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware people who understand their struggles intellectually but still feel stuck emotionally, relationally, or physically in survival mode.

My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in nervous system safety. I integrate EMDR with attachment-focused approaches, somatic awareness, parts work, and psychoeducation to help clients better understand themselves, process painful experiences, and create lasting emotional change. I believe symptoms often make sense in the context of a person’s experiences, relationships, and survival strategies, and therapy should be collaborative, compassionate, and non-shaming.

I have particular interest in working with adults recovering from high-control environments, religious trauma, emotionally immature family systems, toxic relationship dynamics, disordered eating, burnout, and longstanding patterns of self-abandonment or overfunctioning. I also work with clients navigating major life transitions, relationship challenges, boundary work, and questions related to identity and self-worth.

In therapy, my goal is to help clients feel emotionally safer, more connected to themselves, and less alone in what they are carrying. I strive to create a space where people can show up honestly without feeling judged, pressured, or expected to “perform” healing. Many clients describe our work together as grounding, validating, and deeply transformative over time.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in nervous system safety. I view many symptoms and emotional patterns as adaptive responses to difficult experiences rather than personal failures. Using EMDR therapy alongside attachment-focused approaches, somatic awareness, parts work, and psychoeducation, I help clients understand how past experiences continue to shape their emotions, relationships, beliefs, and sense of self.

Therapy with me is collaborative, curious, and non-shaming. I work to create a space where clients feel emotionally safe enough to explore difficult experiences honestly while building greater self-understanding, emotional regulation, and connection to themselves. My goal is to help clients move beyond survival patterns and toward lasting healing, flexibility, and authenticity.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to feel collaborative, supportive, and grounded in getting to know both their story and their goals for therapy. We will talk about what brings them to therapy, the challenges they are currently facing, relevant life experiences, and what they hope to gain from the process. I also spend time helping clients understand how trauma, stress, relationships, and nervous system responses may be connected to what they are experiencing now.

There is no pressure to share everything immediately or to move faster than feels comfortable. My goal in the first session is to begin building emotional safety, understand the larger picture of what a client is carrying, and start discussing what treatment may look like moving forward.
