Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the outpatient, private practice setting. My specialty lies in working with children, adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues and unresolved trauma/PTSD. I have been a certified EMDR therapist for 10 years and use it often in conjunction with cognitive-behavioral techniques and ego state work.

My approach to therapy

I believe that creating a warm, supportive, emotionally safe space is the key competent to a successful therapeutic dynamic. I place a strong emphasis on a strengths-based perspective; that we are inherently created for a constructive purpose. I also offer counseling from a Christian perspective, utilizing a biblical approach to assist in creating effective coping strategies.

What you can expect from me

I view therapy as an opportunity to first and foremost share your story in a nonjudgemental setting. I consider it an honor to be able to come alongside people when they are simultaneously vulnerable and brave in their willingness to seek help. However, I am also very solution-focused in creating patient-focused, tangible treatment goals. We will work together in developing these in conjunction with learning, implementing and maintaining methods of dealing with everyday life stressors.
