Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in betrayal trauma, complex trauma, relationship challenges, anxiety, attachment wounds, and emotional healing. I am an APSATS Certified Clinical Partner Specialist (CCPS) and received specialized training from Barbara Steffens, pioneer in the field of betrayal trauma and co-author of Your Sexually Addicted Spouse.

My understanding of betrayal trauma comes not only from professional training and years of clinical experience, but also from personal experience navigating the devastation and healing that follow relational betrayal. Because of this, I bring both expertise and genuine understanding to the recovery process.

My approach to therapy

Clients often tell me they appreciate my direct, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and practical style. I don’t believe therapy should consist of spending years talking in circles while your life stays the same. While understanding feelings is important, healing also requires insight, action, and new experiences.

I help clients untangle the confusion that trauma, betrayal, anxiety, and relationship struggles can create. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening in your mind, body, relationships, and nervous system so that what once felt overwhelming begins to make sense. Along the way, I’ll provide concrete tools, education, and strategies to help you create meaningful and lasting change.

My goal is for clients to leave sessions feeling understood, empowered, and equipped with more than just insight. I want them to leave with a roadmap.

P.S. If you occasionally express yourself with colorful language, you’re in good company. No judgment here. Sometimes “I’m frustrated” just doesn’t capture the full experience.

What you can expect from me

Many clients come to their first session feeling overwhelmed, confused, or stuck. My goal is to create a warm, supportive environment where you feel safe sharing your story and begin to understand what is happening beneath the surface.

During our first session, we’ll explore your concerns, identify your goals, and begin creating a path forward. I often provide education about trauma, attachment, relationships, and the nervous system so clients can better understand the symptoms they are experiencing.

Many clients leave their first session feeling relieved to learn that what they are experiencing are normal responses to difficult life experiences, and most importantly, that these symptoms are treatable and healing is possible.
