Great to meet you!

Do you need self-care, support, and help navigating your mental health alongside political activism? Are you experiencing fear and stress related to the US political situation? I hear you and understand your struggles. I am a Clinical Psychologist and enjoy working with a wide variety of patients from diverse backgrounds, finding that flexibility is the key to success. I want to collaborate with patients to identify problems, set goals, create treatment plans, and evaluate progress from session to session.

My approach to therapy

I received my Psy.D. from The George Washington University in 2005. I am trained in several evidence-based treatments for PTSD, psychodynamic and interpersonal psychotherapy, and often utilize problem-solving, cognitive behavioral, and behavioral techniques as well. I use a somewhat eclectic approach to meet each person where they are. I believe that health and mental health are a lifelong journey and emphasize whole-health to improve life balance and well-being.

What you can expect from me

I understand that making change and understanding ourselves can be hard and I try to approach each session with an open mind and, often, humor. It can take time to be ready to open up and do the work and I will meet you where you are, each session. Let's book a 15 minute phone consultation call to see if we are a good fit!
