Great to meet you!

I received my PsyD from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology where I later worked as an adjunct Assistant Professor. My clinical training, research, teaching and practice focus on identity, emotion, and relationships across the lifespan. After several years teaching graduate students and working as a therapist in LGBTQ+ affirming community healthcare, I founded The Center for Affirming Families to offer affirming therapy LGBTQ+ individuals and families through all of life's changes.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Clients describe me as warm, open, and affirming of their lives, partners, and identities. I'm direct and work with clients to make actionable change in their lives. I listen for identities and feelings that go unseen, and I empower pathways for change. I'm passionate about LGBTQ+ affirming care and specialize in issues related to life transition: coming out, gender identity, fertility/family growth, career change, grief/loss, and relationships (including kink/poly/ENM).

What you can expect from our first session

Therapy with me is a collaborative and practical. I create an affirming space to explore uncertainties, examine your beliefs about yourself, and create movement toward change and growth. Our work together will identify what's missing and where you're stuck. We'll find practical and creative solutions so you can live and grow authentically and bravely.
