Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with experience in both primary care and psychiatric/mental health. I have worked extensively with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance use disorders, and co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions.

My clinical approach is straightforward, collaborative, and evidence-based. I focus on helping patients understand what is going on medically and psychologically, and then building a treatment plan that is practical, realistic, and sustainable in daily life. I do not take a one-size-fits-all approach—care is individualized based on each person’s goals, history, and current needs.

I have particular clinical interest and experience in ADHD, sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.

My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients feel heard, while also being direct and solution-focused so we can make measurable progress together.

My approach to therapy

I work in a collaborative, straightforward, and evidence-based manner. My goal is to understand what each client is experiencing in the context of their medical history, mental health, and life circumstances, and then translate that into a clear, practical treatment plan.

My style is direct but supportive. I focus on making sure clients understand the “why” behind their symptoms and treatment options so they can make informed decisions about their care. I emphasize measurable progress, whether that’s symptom improvement, stabilization, or recovery goals.

I have experience working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and sleep disorders, including co-occurring conditions where both mental health and medical factors are interacting. I also have a strong interest in addiction medicine and long-term recovery support, including medication management when appropriate.

I tend to focus on evidence-based treatment strategies, including medication management when indicated, lifestyle and behavioral interventions, and coordination with other providers when needed. I aim to keep care practical, structured, and adaptable over time based on how someone is responding.

Above all, I prioritize creating a nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being honest, while also working together in a focused way toward meaningful improvement.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, the focus is on understanding your history, your current symptoms, and what brought you in at this point in time. I take time to review both mental health and relevant medical background so I can get a full picture of what may be contributing to what you’re experiencing.

You can expect a structured but conversational setting. I will ask direct questions, but the goal is to make the process feel organized rather than overwhelming. There is no pressure to have everything figured out—we work through it together.

By the end of the first visit, we typically aim to:

  • Clarify the main concerns and symptoms
  • Identify possible diagnoses or contributing factors (when appropriate)
  • Discuss initial treatment options, which may include medication, behavioral strategies, or referrals if needed
  • Establish short-term goals so you have a clear starting point for care

My priority is that you leave the first session with a clearer understanding of what is going on and a practical next step rather than uncertainty. The environment is nonjudgmental, straightforward, and focused on helping you move toward stability and improvement in a realistic way.
