About Me

What is your approach to therapy?

As social beings, relationships (not only with others but also ourselves & society) are central to our lives. Based on this lens, we will identify how these relationships impact your current distress, which may empower you to enact meaningful change. In particular, we will focus on family relationships, as they're where we first learn how to relate to others, as well as all of the identities that you hold to identify how issues of power, privilege, & oppression impact your day-to-day being.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

If you’re looking for a therapist who is direct, authentic, & interactive; regularly curses; will call you forward compassionately (& sometimes humorously); encourages you to be in the driver’s seat; & actively encourages feedback, we’d probably be a great fit! Because our relationship is central to effective therapy, we'll assess mutual fit first via a phone consult, & if we work together, we'll work to build a relationship where you feel safe, heard, seen, & challenged.
