Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist, and I believe that starting therapy is one of the most vulnerable and most brave things a person can do. I have experience working with children, teens, and adults, specifically with anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief.

I completed Master's in Social Work from Brigham Young University with specialized certifications in Trauma-Informed Social Work Practice and School Social Work. I utilize EMDR, attachment-based work, play therapy, trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and sand tray therapy.

My approach to therapy

Are you feeling like you are floundering in life and lacking a sense of direction and purpose? Are you finding yourself stuck in shame and can't seem to shake the negative thoughts? Maybe you desperately want to be living a fulfilling and meaningful life, but something just doesn't seem to be working. If any of these describe you, we may be a good fit.

I believe the purpose of therapy is to empower you to recognize that you ARE enough, and that you already have the tools within yourself to thrive. I strive to meet you where you are at and provide a safe, validating, and welcoming space to explore and process your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Together, we can explore the patterns that are keeping you stuck, challenge unhelpful thoughts and beliefs, and work towards building a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling to you.

It is my desire to both sit with you in the lows and celebrate with you at the highs. There is room for the full breadth and depth of your experience- the grief, uncertainty, anger, joy, hope, and everything in between.

I work well with children ages 8 and up, teens, and adults who are navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, parenting concerns, and relationships. I also have experience with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS/Mormon) and work well with clients who are looking to be supported in their faith, to process a faith crisis, or to navigate a faith transition from this or similar high-demand religious environments.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will mostly focus on you getting to tell your story. I want to hear about who you are, what matters to you, and what is really hard right now. As we continue, we will set specific goals, decide on an appropriate treatment, and evaluate whether or not things are going in the direction you want.
