Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kirra. I’m a compassionate, collaborative therapist who believes that meaningful therapy begins with feeling genuinely seen, heard, and respected. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, identity development, life transitions, relationship challenges, and other experiences that may leave you feeling overwhelmed or stuck.

I value creating an affirming space where you can show up as your authentic self. I have a particular passion for supporting LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent individuals, as well as clients from multicultural and multiethnic backgrounds. My own experience growing up across several U.S. states and overseas in Japan and Guam has shaped my appreciation for the many cultural, family, and relational influences that make each person's story unique.

You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Wherever you are in your journey, we can begin there.

My approach to therapy

My approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, navigate challenges, and move toward the life and relationships you want.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Collaborative Therapy. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to your individual needs, goals, preferences, and pace.

I’m especially interested in helping clients explore the patterns, beliefs, and relationships that shape how they experience themselves and the world around them. Together, we can build practical skills while also creating space for deeper self-understanding, healing, and meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin creating a foundation for our work together. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping will change, and what you feel would be most helpful right now.

You can expect a supportive, judgment-free conversation rather than pressure to have all the answers. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, relationships, and goals, while making space for you to share what feels important.

We’ll begin identifying priorities for therapy and discussing what our work together might look like. Most importantly, I want you to leave your first session feeling that you have been heard, respected, and met with compassion. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable and purposeful for you.
