Great to meet you!

I believe healing happens in the context of safe, attuned relationships. Whether I’m working with a child through play, supporting parents, or helping adults understand their relational patterns, my work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration.

I have extensive experience working with children and families, particularly around attachment-related concerns, including families formed through foster care and adoption. I also enjoy working with adults who want to better understand how early relational experiences may still influence their relationships today.

I am trained in the Adult Attachment Interview (AAI), a research-based interview that can help adults explore how early experiences shape the way they connect with others. When appropriate, I can integrate this perspective into our therapy work together.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, attachment-centered, strengths-based, and developmentally informed.

With children, I use play therapy to help them build trust, regulate emotions, and express thoughts and feelings that may not yet have words. I work closely with parents and caregivers to strengthen secure attachment and support healthy family relationships.

With adults, therapy often focuses on understanding relational patterns—how you experience closeness, respond to conflict, and navigate vulnerability. I use the Adult Attachment Interview as a starting place in work with adults around relationship concerns, transitions into and challenges that arise in parenthood, and identity questions that may come up in adoptive or foster family systems.

What you can expect from me

Most importantly, the first session is a chance for us to make sure that we're a good fit! I like to learn more about you and what brings you to therapy, and also share about what you might be able to expect during our work together. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer sense of next steps.

Specifically for adults, we’ll talk about your current concerns, relationships, and what you hope might feel different through therapy. If you're interested in exploring attachment patterns more deeply, we can also discuss whether that focus might be helpful, and if you'd like to take part in the Adult Attachment Interview.

For parents and families, we’ll talk about your child’s strengths, the challenges you’re experiencing, and your hopes for therapy. I’ll also explain how play therapy and parent involvement typically work in my practice.
