Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Kirsten. I'm a board-certified psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner based in California. I've been a nurse for 10 years and have worked as a nurse practitioner for 3 years. My treatment approach is holistic and integrative - offering diagnosis, treatment, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy for adults (ages 18-65) with depression, anxiety, trauma, and ADHD.

My approach to therapy

I strive to deliver the highest quality of care that is patient-centered, evidence-based, inclusive, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed. I value the importance of the therapeutic alliance and take time to establish rapport with each client to make sure they feel safe, heard, understood, and well cared for. I treat all clients with love, patience, and respect as if I would treat our family, friends, and loved ones. Treatment plans are personalized for each individual based on preferences and we work closely in collaboration to meet their treatment goals.

What you can expect from me

  1. Initial Evaluation: During our first visit, we focus on establishing rapport as we discuss your mental health journey thus far, what stressors you’re currently working through, and treatment goals moving forward.
  2. Follow Up Visits: This will be the active working phase where we work together towards your treatment goals. Frequency of visits can vary from every week to every 3 months depending on your needs and progress.
  3. Maintenance: For when patients get to a better place in life and they feel more stable. These visits are mainly just to check in, provide refills on medication, and continue care. Can be scheduled every 1-3 months not to exceed 6 months at a time.
