Great to meet you!

Hello, thank you for taking the time to explore my profile. My background includes individual, couples, family and group counseling. I am certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Psychodramatist, and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. My specialties include: relational trauma, rupture and repair; narcissistic abuse; codependency; complex PTSD; eating disorders; addictions; grief/bereavement; mood disorders (anxiety/depression, etc); work related stressors and relational dynamics. I look forward to discussing how I might best serve you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is collaborative. I meet my clients where they are at in their process and tailor my strategies accordingly. Traditional talk therapy is utilized to explore core beliefs, thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Solutions sometimes come in the form of having a witness to help hold a safe space for confusing emotions, as well as in the collaborative process of discussing more specific tools and strategies for healing and personal growth. In some cases, action methods including psychodrama and experiential therapy are used for a deeper, more dynamic approach to process feelings, rehearse new behaviors in a safe and contained space, and to access new perspectives on one's personal narratives.

What you can expect from me

Our first session would include gathering and reviewing one's personal history and narrative story, especially prior experiences and conditioning that might have shaped one's current perspectives, emotional responses and related triggers,, relational patterns , as well as the more obvious reasons which prompted one to seek counseling..
