Great to meet you!

My name is Kit Tang. I’m a therapist with 7 years of experience supporting individuals navigating life’s challenges and emotional growth.

As someone who comes from a culture where mental health is often stigmatized, I know how difficult it can be to seek therapy, especially when vulnerability is not something many of us were raised to feel comfortable with. Reaching out for support takes courage, and simply arriving here is already a meaningful step. You're not alone in this process, and I'm here to walk with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy combines helping you understand the deeper roots of your emotions with learning practical tools to manage everyday stress. We’ll look at how your past experiences might still be affecting your relationships and the way you see yourself today. At the same time, I will support you in finding healthy ways to cope with difficult feelings and challenges. I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can explore what’s going on inside and start to feel more in control of your thoughts and emotions.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll talk about what brings you in and what you’re hoping to get from our work together. I’ll ask some questions to get to know you: your background, current situation, and anything else that feels important. We will also go over how sessions work, including confidentiality and logistics. There’s no pressure to share everything right away. This is just a starting point, and we will go at your pace.

Over time, you can expect to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your emotions, patterns, and the experiences that have shaped you. We’ll work together to make sense of what you’re going through and develop practical tools to help you manage stress, improve relationships, and feel more grounded. Many clients find they grow more confident in setting boundaries, expressing themselves, and navigating life with greater clarity and self-compassion.
