Great to meet you!

Have you ever wondered if true healing begins when you finally find a space where your entire story—from your greatest strengths to your deepest challenges—is met with genuine warmth and unwavering acceptance?

I'm Dr. Kianfar-Jagoda, and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a post-doctoral psychology resident who believes that an open mind is the most powerful tool in therapy. My extensive clinical training—including a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology—is not just a list of degrees; it’s the foundation that allows me to deeply understand the diverse mental health landscapes you carry. Whether you are navigating ADHD, personality disorders, alcohol or drug addiction, trauma, or the weight of depression and anxiety, my compassionate, whole-person approach is designed to honor your resilience and provide the empowering tools you need to reclaim your life. We won’t just manage symptoms; we’ll cultivate a safe relationship where you discover your own capacity for profound, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is built on the unwavering belief that you already possess the innate strength and resilience needed to heal; my role is simply to provide the warm, open-minded partnership that empowers you to tap into it.

For over a decade, I have been honored to serve the mental health needs of individuals and families navigating complex trauma, severe mental illness, and substance use disorders. As a bilingual (Farsi-speaking) clinician, I understand the importance of honor and identity, and I offer a safe space for individual, couples, family, and group therapy. We are not just managing symptoms; we are actively co-authoring a new chapter of your life, using a collaborative, strength-based framework tailored entirely to your unique needs. I expertly blend evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, MI, and EMDR with holistic psychotherapy approaches to provide the specialized toolkit you need to confront your challenges head-on and reclaim your authentic self.

What you can expect from me

Expect your first session to be a warm, welcoming space dedicated entirely to honoring your unique story. I strive to deeply understand your specific concerns and goals from the very beginning, ensuring you leave our initial meeting feeling truly heard, respected, and valued. My priority is to establish a genuine rapport and create a safe, trusting therapeutic environment where you feel fully accepted without judgment. This is an open-minded and empowering collaborative process, where we begin building the foundation for your healing journey together. If you are ready to explore a partnership designed for your success in an affirming space, select a time from my calendar below to schedule our first session, and let's get started.
