Great to meet you!

Adulthood can bring many challenges—new responsibilities, changing relationships, unexpected transitions, and moments when you may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of your next step. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, family expectations, or simply trying to reconnect with yourself, you do not have to navigate these experiences alone.

For over 20 years, I have had the privilege of walking alongside individuals through some of life's most difficult moments and transitions. As a bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) in New Jersey, I provide culturally responsive care that honors each person's unique story, values, and experiences.

For clients who wish to incorporate their faith into therapy, I also offer Christian counseling alongside evidence-based clinical approaches. Whatever brings you here, you are welcome exactly as you are.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is collaborative and paced to what you need. I draw on CBT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness practices, but I adapt based on what is actually working for you. My goal is to create therapy that feels personalized rather than one-size-fits-all. We'll work together to find approaches that fit your needs, your values, and your goals. For clients navigating trauma and substance use at the same time, I use Seeking Safety, an approach that holds both without requiring you to address one before the other. You will always know where we are headed, and you will always have a say in that direction.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if this is your first experience. During our first session, we'll take time to understand what brings you to therapy, the challenges you're facing, and what you hope to achieve. We'll also explore your background, strengths, and the experiences that have shaped who you are today. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

My goal is to create a supportive, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe to be yourself. Together, we'll develop a personalized plan that focuses on your unique needs while building practical skills to manage emotions, strengthen coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Therapy is a collaborative process. Rather than focusing on judgment or telling you what to do, we'll work together to better understand your experiences, recognize your strengths, and help you move toward the life you want to create. My hope is that you'll leave each session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer sense of your next steps.
