I'm a LCSW based out of Fort Worth, TX. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. I have over 5 years of experience providing mental health services to children/adolescents, teens and adults in school and community-based settings that present with a variety of mental health challenges.
I take a more simplified, casual and direct approach in my practice that caters to those who may believe therapy "isn't for them." Sessions are client-centered and I integrate various evidenced based modalities of therapy, such as CBT, ACT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing based on clients' needs.
I value the therapeutic relationship and early sessions will be focused on establishing a strong connection to ensure you feel safe and comfortable to be your authentic self in session. We will work together towards overcoming challenges you've identified and changes you'd like to make in your life. I believe self-awareness is key to personal growth and sessions will be aimed at helping you learn and reflect on your past, current, and future self.
