Great to meet you!

I specialize in working with children and teens experiencing anxiety, trauma, ADHD, emotional and behavioral challenges, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and family stress. Many families come to me when their child feels overwhelmed, struggles to express emotions, or needs additional support navigating difficult experiences. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling, am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and am certified in the Neurosequential Model (NMT). My background in child welfare has provided extensive experience supporting foster, adoptive, and biological families through complex trauma and attachment-related concerns. I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where children feel safe to grow while partnering with parents to promote lasting progress both in and outside of therapy.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I tailor therapy to each child’s developmental level, personality, and goals while using evidence-based practices alongside expressive interventions such as art, play, storytelling, games, and other creative activities. These approaches help children communicate emotions, develop healthy coping skills, improve emotional regulation, build resilience, and increase confidence in ways that feel engaging and meaningful. My goal is to help children and families leave therapy with practical tools that support long-term growth and success.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, so my first priority is helping children and families feel comfortable. During our first session, we’ll get to know each other, talk about what brings you to therapy, discuss your goals, and answer any questions you may have. I work at each child’s pace, focusing on building trust before expecting them to open up. Together, we’ll create a plan that supports your child’s unique strengths and needs while helping your family feel confident about the therapy process.
