Great to meet you!

I’m Amanda, a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes that therapy should be a safe, welcoming space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of concerns. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with individuals and families navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, family and relationship challenges, self-esteem, stress, and emotional and behavioral concerns.

I especially enjoy working with children and teens and helping them develop healthy coping skills, understand their emotions, build confidence, and navigate the challenges that come with growing up. I also work with adults who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or simply want support as they work toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.

My approach is compassionate, practical, and individualized. I believe there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy, so I take time to understand each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals. My hope is that clients leave each session feeling encouraged, equipped, and one step closer to where they want to be.

Whether you are seeking support during a difficult season or simply want help making positive changes in your life, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and individualized. I want my clients to feel comfortable being themselves without fear of judgment. I believe therapy works best when we build a genuine therapeutic relationship and work together toward goals that are meaningful to you.

I use a practical, collaborative approach and tailor treatment to each client’s age, personality, needs, and circumstances. With children and teens, I incorporate age-appropriate conversation, creative activities, coping skills, and practical tools to help them understand and express their emotions. With adults, I focus on creating a supportive space to process experiences, identify patterns, develop healthy coping strategies, and work toward meaningful change.

My goal is not simply to help you get through a difficult moment, but to help you develop skills and insight that you can carry with you beyond the therapy room. I will meet you where you are, listen without judgment, and work alongside you at a pace that feels manageable and productive.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a warm, supportive, and judgment-free environment where we begin getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your current concerns, relevant history, strengths, and goals, and you’ll have space to ask questions about the therapy process.

Together, we’ll identify initial priorities and begin developing a treatment plan that fits your needs, age, personality, and circumstances. With children and teens, this may include age-appropriate conversation, creative activities, or simple tools to help them feel comfortable and express themselves. With adults, we may begin exploring patterns, emotions, stressors, and coping strategies.

You do not need to have everything figured out before your first session. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful, with a clearer sense of what we can work on together and practical next steps for moving forward.
