Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Korry J.T. Gilbert. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University. Before becoming a counselor, I joined the U.S. Army at 19 and served for seven years, including two overseas deployments, one in support of OEF 10–11 in Kandahar, Afghanistan. For the past four years, I have worked in community mental health, supporting individuals through a variety of challenges and life circumstances. These experiences have shaped my approach to counseling and strengthened my commitment to helping others navigate their own path forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is person-centered, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you without judgment. I draw from humanistic, existential, solution-focused, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and cognitive-behavioral approaches to help you gain insight, build practical tools, and create meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation for our work together. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you hope to get out of counseling, and what is currently important to you. I’ll answer any questions you have and work with you to develop a plan that feels comfortable and meaningful for you. There is no pressure to have everything figured out on day one.
