Great to meet you!

My name is Kourtnee, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work to understand the whole person behind the struggle — including life experiences, trauma, relationships, stressors, and personal strengths. I believe recovery is not about perfection, but about progress, resilience, and reconnecting with the life you want to live.

I have 10 years of experience working with individuals struggling with substance use disorders in inpatient, recovery home, and outpatient settings. I earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Western University and obtained my Master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University.

Seeking therapy is a significant decision, and finding the right fit matters. My goal is to create a supportive and collaborative environment where clients feel respected, heard, and understood as they work toward lasting healing and recovery.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy with empathy, honesty, and collaboration. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or behaviors, I work to understand the full person behind the struggle — including life experiences, trauma, relationships, stressors, and strengths. I believe recovery is not about perfection; it is about progress, resilience, and reconnecting with the life you want to live. My practice is grounded in evidence-based approaches while remaining deeply personalized to each client’s unique needs and goals. I strive to meet you where you are with compassion and practical support.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a nonjudgmental space where you can openly share your goals and the challenges that may be making those goals difficult to reach. Together, we will discuss realistic and attainable steps to help you move toward the life you want at a pace that feels comfortable for you. We will also explore how I can best support you throughout your journey.
