Hi, I’m Kourtney. I’ve been in the mental health field for over 11 years, including 6 years as a counselor. I’m passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges and supporting them in finding hope, strength, and clarity along the way.
I work with clients from adolescents to older adults. I have experience in a wide range of concerns, including everyday stress and life transitions, depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, suicidal thoughts, psychosis and other mental health conditions. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor trained in CBT, DBT skills, trauma-informed care, and CBT for psychosis, and I’m a certified CAMS provider trained in the SIPS assessment.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and paced to your comfort. I believe therapy should be a safe space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to create a meaningful life that works for you.
I believe the foundation of effective therapy is a strong sense of understanding and connection. I approach each client with empathy and a commitment to meeting you where you are, supporting you throughout your unique recovery journey.
In our first session, my goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing openly. You can expect to be heard without judgment and given the space to express what’s on your mind. We will move at your pace, and I will never ask you to share anything you’re not ready for. I hope you leave feeling empowered and more capable of facing life’s challenges. Above all, I want you to know that you are worthy of a fulfilling life. I believe recovery is possible, and together we can explore what that looks like for you.
