Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) serving clients throughout Texas. I earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and completed my LPC internship under the supervision of an exceptional LPC Supervisor here in Texas.

My experience spans a variety of mental health settings, including working as a case manager and service coordinator for individuals with developmental disabilities, a rehabilitation teacher in a state psychiatric hospital, a therapist on a geriatric behavioral health unit, and a counselor in medication-assisted treatment (MAT), substance use disorder (SUD) inpatient and outpatient programs, and individual counseling settings. These experiences have allowed me to support individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, grief, life transitions, and relationship challenges.

A primary focus of my work is helping individuals heal from trauma and anxiety. I have completed the training portion of Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based approach that uses bilateral eye movements similar to EMDR while incorporating its own unique treatment methods. Throughout my career, I have come to recognize how common trauma is and how profoundly it can impact a person's emotions, relationships, self-worth, and overall quality of life.

My counseling style is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client's unique needs. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and respected. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, trauma, substance use, grief, or feeling stuck in life, my goal is to help you build insight, strengthen coping skills, and work toward meaningful change over time.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each individual’s needs. I primarily incorporate person-centered therapy, cognitive therapy (CBT), and positive psychology to help clients better understand themselves and create meaningful, sustainable change.

I use a person-centered foundation to ensure therapy is a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and respected. I believe clients are the experts in their own lives, and my role is to support exploration, insight, and growth at a pace that feels comfortable and realistic for each person.

From a cognitive therapy perspective, I help clients identify and understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we work to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, develop more balanced perspectives, and build healthier coping strategies that can be applied in daily life.

I also integrate principles of positive psychology to support clients in identifying strengths, building resilience, and increasing overall well-being. This includes helping clients recognize what is already working, strengthen protective factors, and develop more intentional, values-based living.

My focus is on meeting clients where they are and working collaboratively to support change that feels both achievable and meaningful. Whether someone is navigating anxiety, trauma, substance use concerns, or life transitions, I aim to provide a grounded and supportive space for growth, skill-building, and improved emotional well-being over time.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a warm, nonjudgmental space where they are invited to share at their own pace without fear of judgment. The first session is focused on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and identifying your current concerns, goals, and needs.

We will also review relevant background information, including personal history, current stressors, and any previous treatment experiences. This helps build a clearer picture of what support may be most helpful moving forward. You do not need to have everything figured out before coming in—part of the process is exploring and clarifying goals together.

I will also answer any questions you may have about the therapy process, my approach, and what future sessions may look like. The goal of the first session is to begin building a comfortable working relationship and to make sure therapy feels like a good fit for you.
