Great to meet you!

Clients should know that I am a compassionate, experienced, and supportive therapist with over 25 years of experience working with children, adults, and families. I value creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard, respected, and understood. I believe in meeting clients where they are and working collaboratively at a pace that feels comfortable and empowering.

My approach is strengths-based and practical, helping clients develop tools and coping strategies they can apply in their everyday lives. I have extensive experience supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, abuse, domestic violence, parenting challenges, substance use concerns, and mental health conditions such as bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety.

Clients should also know that I am honest, supportive, and committed to their growth. I believe healing is possible, and I am dedicated to helping clients build resilience, gain insight, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and strengths-based. I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I work to meet clients where they are, honoring their experiences while helping them move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them.

I use an integrative approach, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and solution-focused strategies. I focus on helping clients develop practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, and build tools they can use in their daily lives.

I am especially mindful of the impact of trauma and prioritize safety, trust, and emotional regulation in the therapeutic process. My goal is to support clients in building resilience, improving emotional well-being, and gaining confidence as they work toward their personal goals.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session with me to be welcoming, supportive, and focused on understanding their needs. We will begin with brief introductions and a discussion of what brought them to therapy. I will ask questions to better understand their concerns, goals, and personal history, while allowing space for clients to share at their own pace.

The first session is also an opportunity to establish comfort, trust, and a sense of safety. Clients can expect a nonjudgmental environment where they feel heard and respected. Together, we will begin identifying goals and discussing possible approaches to therapy that best fit their needs. There is no pressure to have everything figured out, this session is about getting to know each other and setting the foundation for our work together.
