Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Krista, and I'm so glad you're here.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you've been carrying the weight of trauma, anxiety, burnout, or painful relationship patterns for a long time. You don't have to have it all figured out before you begin. We can make sense of it together.

I specialize in helping adults heal from complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and burnout. Many of my clients are high achievers, healthcare professionals, and highly sensitive people who feel stuck in patterns they can't think their way out of.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based therapy and nervous system healing. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based therapy, mindfulness, somatic therapy, and mind-body medicine to help clients move beyond insight and create lasting change. Together, we'll explore how your thoughts, emotions, relationships, past experiences, and nervous system shape your life today.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than 15 years as an educator, trainer, and facilitator. My graduate work at the Harvard Graduate School of Education focused on how adults learn and create meaningful change. That experience continues to shape my work because I believe therapy should be tailored to each person's unique needs and goals.

My style is compassionate, direct, and deeply human. I'll meet you with curiosity, honesty, and respect while helping you build resilience, strengthen relationships, and reconnect with yourself.

I've learned that healing often begins when we're ready to listen to something deeper within ourselves. If something in my profile resonates with you, I encourage you to trust that feeling. Reach out with any questions or schedule a consultation. I'd love to hear your story and explore whether we're a good fit.

My approach to therapy

I help you get to the root of what keeps you stuck, instead of just managing it on the surface. So many of us understand our patterns and still feel pulled right back into them, because complex trauma lives in the body and nervous system, not only in our thoughts. I use gentle, body-based (somatic) approaches and parts work to help you change those patterns where they actually live. If spirituality is part of how you heal, we can bring it in, as this can be a powerful tool for healing. If it isn't, that's completely okay too. You're always in charge of the direction, and I stay active right alongside you: I'll gently encourage you when it helps, and I'll challenge you see what's been hard to notice on your own.

What you can expect from me

More than anything, I believe effective therapy is driven by the quality of the relationship between you and me. So in a first session, my main goal is to start building that relationship: to understand your goals, your challenges, and your strengths, and to collaborate with you on a plan that aligns with you. I'll ask questions, but clients often tell me a first session with me doesn't feel like a cold, structured intake. It feels more like a conversation. There's no pressure to have it all figured out beforehand. My work is trauma-informed, so you can share at the level that feels okay at first and go deeper only as you feel ready.
