Great to meet you!

I have 10+ years of experience working with preteens, teens, and adults in both clinical and non-clinical manners. I began my career as a therapist working at and developing a clinical program within a public school system. Additionally, I worked for a company which provided Intensive In-Community (IIC) Services for youth and families in Bergen County. These career opportunities have rewarded me with a wealth of knowledge in areas of anxiety, depression, ADHD, family and peer conflict, school avoidance and life transitions for preteens, teens, and even young adults.

My approach to therapy

While I use evidence-based approaches (such as a blend of psychodynamic therapy and CBT), the following is my therapeutic philosophy:

  • Connection-I believe wholeheartedly that the connection between therapist and client is the basis for success. Building rapport is an ongoing process that will never be complete. You will be welcomed by a warm and empathetic approach.
  • Whole Person-I enjoy using an integrative approach during therapy. The reason for this is that therapy is not a one size fits all and a mixture of evidence-based approaches allow for more opportunity of growth. I consider the "whole person" and explore how anxiety and complex histories play a role in our physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
  • Client Centered-When you come to me, we will work on YOUR concerns and goals, not mine. I understand this may look different from session to session. My job is to help guide and support you while you work to become the best version of yourself.

What you can expect from me

A first session will consist of a warm and welcoming environment where we discuss background information and current stressors that brought you to therapy. With this knowledge, we can establish goals that you may like to work on in therapy which will become part of your treatment plan. These goals are flexible and can always change.
