Great to meet you!

If you've been told your anxiety, exhaustion, or emotional shifts are "just stress" or "just aging" — and something in you knows it's more than that — you're in the right place. I'm Kristal, a licensed therapist with over 15 years of experience supporting people through life's most challenging transitions. That career — rooted in crisis intervention, child welfare, and working alongside people experiencing homelessness — built in me a deep capacity to sit with complexity, pain, and change without flinching. That foundation now drives my specialized work with women navigating perimenopause and menopause. I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to this work. I've walked this road myself — which means when you show up, you will be genuinely seen and heard, perhaps in a way you haven't been in a long time.

My approach to therapy

My approach is down-to-earth, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are not broken — you are navigating a transition that our culture has largely failed to prepare women for. I blend evidence-based therapeutic techniques with real, honest conversation. I'll meet you with warmth and without judgment, and I'll also gently challenge you when growth is asking for it. This isn't a space where you'll just be nodded at — it's a space where you'll be genuinely engaged. Because so much of what brings women to therapy during perimenopause and menopause is rooted in the intersection of biology, identity, and lived experience, I take a whole-person approach. We'll work on what's happening in your mind, your body, and your life — and we'll do it at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

The first session is yours. There's no agenda you have to meet and no pressure to have it all figured out — many women come in not quite sure how to put words to what they're feeling, and that's exactly okay. I'll ask questions to understand your story, what's been shifting for you, and what you're hoping to find on the other side of this. We'll talk about what therapy with me looks like and whether it feels like the right fit. You'll have space to ask anything.

Most women leave that first session feeling something they haven't felt in a while — like someone finally gets it. That's where we begin.
