Great to meet you!

Kristen holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) in Kansas and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Missouri. She works with preteens, teens, and adults, and has experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and family or peer relationship challenges.

My approach to therapy

Kristen uses a strengths-based, person-centered approach and integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She focuses on building practical coping skills, improving communication, and increasing confidence in navigating day-to-day challenges. She strives to create a supportive, collaborative virtual space where clients feel heard and understood. She works alongside clients to foster insight, resilience, and meaningful progress, helping them feel more in control and less defined by their struggles.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. You can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space to share your concerns, explore your goals, and start identifying strategies to cope with challenges. Together, we’ll create a plan for moving forward and make sure you feel comfortable with the process.
