Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Kristen and I have been a therapist for 14 years. Over the years, I've helped clients with many different backgrounds and life experiences. I see clients with many concerns like depression and anxiety, one of my specialities is guiding women who want to improve self-esteem, self-worth, and heal attachment wounds. I've helped many clients recover from the impact of difficult and unhealthy relationships to find peace and wellness.

My approach to therapy

My style of counseling is nurturing, gentle and non-judgmental. I provide highly individualized treatment. You know you best and therefore, you set the goals and I will help you get there. I've been told over the years that it's a relief to have a therapist who shows their human side. I will laugh at your jokes because I can't help it. But! I give direct feedback, suggestions, and support to help you reach your goals. The most important thing to me is that you feel safe, seen, heard while we work together to help you become the version of yourself you've wanted to be.

What you can expect from me

A first session can be a little intimidating even if you've seen a therapist before, so I start with a conversation about what brought you to therapy and what you want to to get from the experience. I'll ask some background questions so I can get a sense of your story and share my ideas on how I can help and what our work together will look like. I want you to feel comfortable, understood, and hopeful. My goal is for you to leave with something to apply or practice before the next session.
