Great to meet you!

Hello. I'm Kristen. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and have been licensed in California since 2000. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in social work. I have many years of experience in working with adults and youth in the areas of trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, mood disorders, relationship conflict and parenting. My therapeutic approach is integrative combining evidenced-based practices with intuitive insights to create a personalized experience that caters to your unique needs. I draw upon mindfulness techniques, Cognitive Processing therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Psychodynamic therapy, and several other therapies that can complement these treatment modalities. I have an interactive style which can encourage your participation in your healing process. I believe people have strengths and the potential to heal themselves and I tailor my treatment strategies to align with your specific challenges and goals. I provide a safe space for you to express your thoughts and feelings.

It's important that you to express your thoughts and feelings about the therapeutic process, and I try to ensure your concerns are addressed throughout your journey.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe that every individual is unique, and thus, a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy is rarely effective. My integrative approach combines evidence-based practices with intuitive insights, allowing me to tailor each therapeutic journey to the individual's needs. In my practice, I draw upon various therapeutic modalities, including mindfulness techniques and cognitive processing therapy (CPT). By weaving together elements from multiple therapies, I ensure clients receive a personalized experience that not only addresses their challenges but also recognizes and cultivates their inherent strengths. I emphasize an interactive therapeutic style within a supportive and non-judgmental environment. This fosters a safe space where trust can flourish, enabling my clients to open up, explore, and work through their concerns effectively. Together, we can navigate the complexities of life, building a pathway to healing and personal growth.
