Great to meet you!

My clients are diverse. Let’s face it, we’re all complex beings. I don’t view my clients based on their diagnosis, I see them as people. Some are married, some are single. Some are working and some are in school. I invite my clients to attend session as they are. No judgement here. I let my clients tell me what they want to work on and what’s important to them. Everyone has something or someone that is important to them, that they believe in.

I'm a biblically trained Christian therapist, and believe that everyone’s spirituality and faith can help them through challenging times. Everyone believes something, whether you’re spiritual, religious, or atheist, our beliefs influence how we see the world. If faith is a part of your journey we can include that as part of your healing process. If it’s not, that’s ok too. I’m not here to push you to faith, I’m here to push you past whatever you see is holding you back.

My approach to therapy

I customize my approach and methods to fit my client's life. Therapy can only be effective if you’re engaged and involved. If it’s too expensive to do every week, we’ll figure it out. If you’re really busy and want a certain number of sessions only, we’ll map out what we want to work on around that schedule. I view therapy as being invited into your system. The different places, people, and activities we get involved in all contribute to who we are. Just like each client is different, the skills and style of therapy looks different for each person. If you want to be technical - I draw from evidence-based therapies using a trauma-informed approach and coming from a systems perspective. I’m trained in multiple therapeutic modalities addressing problematic thoughts, emotions, or behaviors. I use a combination of interventions specifically focused at your needs.

What you can expect from me

My goal in every session, is to make the client feel affirmed, confident, and competent to address their issues. And hopefully we’ve laughed some too. Laughter is good for us.
