Great to meet you!

Thanks for stopping by. My name is Kristen, and I have a passion for serving survivors of trauma, primarily those with complex trauma, sexual violence, trafficking, homelessness, generational trauma, carceral trauma, gang membership, distressing sensory experiences, and structural dissociation/multiplicity (DID/OSDD). I am constantly in awe of my clients and feel honored in being permitted into their lives and moving alongside them on their journeys.

My approach to therapy

Using the Phase-Oriented Trauma Recovery model as a foundation, I base my approach on breaking the cycle of trauma, partnering together, welcoming all parts of you, and being real.

I have a relational, integrative, empowerment-driven, and collaborative approach. My goal is to support you navigate through painful experiences (i.e. the traumas or “shadows” of your life), so that you can feel free and unburdened by them, living the life you've always deserved, but have not been permitted to.

What you can expect from me

I’m here to help you find your inherent strengths; you’d be surprised how many you have. We will honor how survival mode has helped you and how to move through this, toward internal safety and trust. In other words, being able to remember vs. re-live.

My objectives are to support you on your journey, do all that I can within my scope of competence, and partner with you to work as a team. This includes working together and making joint decisions regarding the direction of our work together.
