Great to meet you!

Hi there! My name is Kristen Ratican and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor.

I enjoy working with kids, teens, and adults, and have experience working with a variety of clinical issues, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions and stress, parenting, relationships, and trauma.

If you are looking for a safe and affirming space to tend to your needs with compassionate care and are open and curious about yourself, your experiences, and the world, we might be a good fit.

My approach to therapy

We are wired to repeat deeply learned patterns, that at a certain point, no longer serve us. Whether it’s in your personal relationships, or your relationship with yourself, at times you may feel stuck in a repetitive loop. Together we can identify and explore these patterns and work towards meaningful growth.

I approach treatment through a trauma-informed, attachment-based, psychodynamic lens and collaborative framework, recognizing that you are the expert of your life experience.

What you can expect from me

My role is to accompany you through insightful exploration in order to help increase self-awareness and self-compassion and bring about lasting change.

Together we will untangle thoughts and feelings, talk about things people don't usually talk about, explore possibilities, get curious, make lots of space for truth to emerge, challenge barriers and set boundaries, listen for messages needing to be heard, and support movement toward self-discovery and empowerment.
