Great to meet you!

I have worked in the mental health field for over 10 years in a variety of positions and received his Masters of Social Welfare Degree from the University of Kansas in 2019, and recently obtained a Doctorate of Social Work Degree in 2025. Issues he commonly work with include: trauma, anxiety, depression, behavior problems, ADHD, divorce, parenting struggles, anger, grief/loss, and adjustment issues.

My approach to therapy

My primary philosophical approach to treatments and interventions is from a Strengths-Based Perspective which puts the strengths and resources of people, communities, and their environments at the center of the helping process rather than the problems and pathologies. Some of the treatment approaches that we utilize are CBT, DBT, ACT, SFBT, and Family Systems. Ultimatley, I have a firm belief that healing happens through relationship, reflection, and empowerment. My sessions are guided by warmth, empathy, and curiosity, with a focus on helping clients build insight, self-compassion, and resilience. Whether you’re new to therapy or returning after some time, I attempt to meet you where you are and walks with you toward meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me is a chance to begin building a trusting, collaborative relationship in a safe and supportive environment. Sessions typically last about 40–60 minutes and focus on understanding your story, your goals, and what brings you to therapy. I will start by introducing herself, explaining her approach, and reviewing confidentiality and what to expect from the process. You’ll then have space to share what’s been happening in your life and what you hope to gain from therapy, moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you. She may ask questions about your background, relationships, and overall well-being to gain a holistic understanding of your needs. Together, you’ll begin identifying goals and areas of focus, such as coping skills, emotional healing, or relationship growth. Before closing, I will summarize key themes, discuss possible treatment approaches, and outline next steps so you leave with clarity and direction for your therapeutic journey.
