Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Kristena Martin (Brand), LPC, MA, founder of Grace and Growth Therapy. I’ve been a therapist for over 15 years and have had the privilege of supporting clients from diverse backgrounds through healing, self-discovery, and growth.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Cellular Biology and a Master’s in Community Counseling with a Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. My scientific background informs my belief that healing involves the whole self—our mind, body, emotions, and spirituality—all of which are deeply connected.

I specialize in helping clients manage anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is trauma-informed and integrates DBT, CBT, and insight-oriented therapy, along with the Gottman Method for couples. I aim to help clients build balance, self-awareness, and resilience while creating space for compassion and growth.

I work with women at every stage of life—from students and professionals to mothers, empty nesters, and grandmothers—as well as men in professional fields seeking to manage stress, performance, and relationships. I also support athletes navigating the connection between performance and emotional health. In addition, I help couples at all stages—from pre-engagement and engagement through marriage, divorce, and co-parenting.

My goal is to provide a safe, trusting environment where clients can explore their experiences, reconnect with their strengths, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

In my time off, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, and staying active through running, dance, and the gym.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in helping clients manage anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is trauma-informed and integrates DBT, CBT, and insight-oriented therapy, along with the Gottman Method for couples. I aim to help clients build balance, self-awareness, and resilience while creating space for compassion and growth.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you—your story, your goals, and what’s bringing you to therapy at this time. I’ll ask questions to better understand your background, current challenges, and what you hope to gain from counseling. This is also a time for you to ask questions and get a sense of how we might work together.

My goal is to create a calm, supportive space where you feel comfortable and heard. Together, we’ll begin identifying patterns, strengths, and goals so we can build a plan that feels both realistic and hopeful. The first session is the starting point for a collaborative process designed to help you find clarity, balance, and growth. I accept insurance for individuals and self pay for couples (200/hr).
