Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 years of experience. I love supporting each person's unique journey, whether you are wired differently, think outside the box, or feeling right at home in the usual flow. Many who feel at home in my office/video space are women, adolescents, and any individual in the LGBTQIA+ community, though all are welcome to find support here. I enjoy working with clients who are seeking to navigate ADHD, manage anxiety, learn stress management, and/or heal from trauma. My clients value a safe, non-judgmental space where they can be their authentic selves. They may be dealing with challenges related to their identity, life transitions, relationships, or emotional well-being. Their goal is to better understand themselves, uncover their strengths, and create lasting change. They want a compassionate, affirming therapist who will guide them toward growth, healing, and a life that aligns with their true self.

I am an affirming therapist who honors all genders, sexualities, faiths, and families. I value authenticity and openness.

I earned a Master’s in Community and School Counseling from Eastern Mennonite University in 2004. With over two decades of experience across community mental health, schools, and outpatient therapy (including telehealth), I am equipped to offer you the highest level of support.

Overall, my focus is always on the therapeutic relationship, which I believe is the most important tool in the healing process. I am deeply committed to your growth and will work diligently to help you reach your goals.

In our work together, you’ll find a no-judgment space where you can come as you are, with your full truth ready to explore. I welcome having conversations over a cup of tea or coffee and like to cultivate a relaxed space for conversation. I look forward to partnering with you in your journey of self-discovery and healing. Together, we can navigate this path toward your most authentic life.

My approach to therapy

I am trained in the professional modalities of:

*Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

*Person-Centered Therapy

*Internal Family Systems

When appropriate, I can integrate these methods to help you understand yourself within the context of thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I also have additional training in ADHD, trauma, religious trauma, and sexual/gender identity exploration. Furthermore, I have 16 years experience working in public schools and understand the challenges of working in the public school system. If you are an educator seeking support, this is a space of understanding and compassion.

Specializing in trauma, neurodivergence, ADHD, anxiety, and sexual/gender identity exploration, I have extensive experience working with women, adolescents, young adults, college students, and those in the LGBTQ+ community.

Lastly, I believe in honoring what is meaningful to you in our conversations. For example, I am open to discussing books, movies, or other personal interests that may help you process life’s challenges.

What you can expect from me

In sessions with me, clients can expect to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the tools to navigate life’s challenges with confidence. Together, we will work to create a personalized path toward your most authentic self, fostering lasting change and growth. You’ll leave sessions with practical strategies, increased self-awareness, and a sense of empowerment to move forward with clarity and purpose. Ultimately, clients leave therapy with a profound sense of respect and love for who they truly are.
