Great to meet you!

I specialize in LGBTQIA+ populations as well as anyone who has experienced religious trauma, codependency issues, attachment wounds, and shame-based living. My expertise was built through my clinical practice, master's and doctoral level coursework, ample continuing education initiatives, evangelical purity culture and LGBTQIA+ research, and national and international teaching opportunities. What is most important to know, though, is that I am a regular person like you who is here to help.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I've been honored to see many brave people like you experience deep healing through experiential therapies like Gestalt Therapy. Sessions are supportive, non-judgmental, and individualized for your needs and comfort level. We frequently use interventions like role plays, mindfulness exercises, and creative expressive directives to explore the connections between your mind, body, and emotions in the here-and-now moment while building awareness of your patterns and their impact.

What you can expect from our first session

Taking the first step to seek care is often incredibly intimidating, so first we will celebrate your commitment to honor yourself. Every step of the way you will be affirmed, equipped, & supported. More specifically, though, our first session focuses on initiating our therapeutic relationship by getting to know your preferences for therapy, current needs, and overall history. You can ask any questions you like, and we will work together to develop a treatment plan that fits your needs.
