Great to meet you!

I'm Kris, and LCSW with over 25 years experience, looking forward to working with you. I have experience with working with diverse populations and worked 19 years in community mental health, allowing me to be trained in multiple symptom sets and diagnosis. I work well with those who have had difficulty in treatment in the past and those looking for a positive first experience.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I have trained at the Beck Institute in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and have several hundred hours of training and work using Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I bring myself to session with a mixture of humor and seriousness. We work together to find the approach that works for you, which is often times an eclectic approach.

What you can expect from our first session

When working with me, you can expect to learn more about yourself, discover what is important to you, learn mindfulness skills, and strategies to deal effectively with life's barriers (past/present/future) that inhibit you from being who you want to be.
