Great to meet you!

Are you ready for change? Are you looking for a safe, accepting, and collaborative place to work through what life has put on your plate? Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or simply ready to invest more in yourself. Whatever brings you to counseling, you don’t have to figure it all out at once. Hi, I’m Kristi! I have over 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families in a variety of settings as a Social Worker, and I provide telehealth services here in Tennessee. I believe you are the expert on your own life story, and my role is to help you discover additional skills and perspectives that can make your worries feel more manageable and your hopes feel more possible. I work with concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, health concerns, life transitions, and stress management. No matter how big the problem feels, we’ll work together to chip away at it until things feel a little more manageable. And some days, you may just need to set down the worries and breathe. That’s okay too. No judgment, guilt, shame, or blame, only possibilities.

My approach to therapy

I tailor my therapeutic approach to your individual needs, goals, and what feels like the right fit for you. I pull from a variety of therapeutic styles and practices rather than believing one approach works for everyone. Client buy-in is important to me, so I’m always happy to explain why I’m recommending a particular approach and answer any questions you may have. Therapy should feel collaborative, engaging, and useful, not like something that is simply being done to you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be a welcoming and engaging conversation where we begin getting to know each other and exploring what brought you to counseling. We’ll talk about what has been on your mind, what you hope will change, and what you’re looking for in a counselor. I’ll listen, ask questions, and help guide the conversation without expecting you to have everything figured out. We’ll also talk about whether my skills and style feel like the right fit for you. If you’re ready to take some time to invest in yourself, request an appointment and let’s start from there.
