I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who currently works in a lockdown psych facility at Aventura Hospital. I graduated from FIU with a Masters in Counseling and have worked in Substance Abuse Centers as well. I work mainly with Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Psychosis, and trauma.
I am very direct but I also help my clients with an empathetic approach to their issues. I offer solution based focuses while at the same time challenging my clients to work on their issues and thought processes. CBT and Solution focused Therapy are my approaches.
Clients can expect to become comfortable with the "uncomfortable" with me. My goals for my clients is to be able to work through their issues and to maintain a level of control over them for the future. I will challenge my clients to approach their issues head on. I will create an empathetic environment that challenges my clients to work through their issues.
