Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 28 years of experience, including 24 years working in public education before transitioning to private practice. I specialize in working with adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, autism spectrum differences, relationship challenges, parenting struggles, and trauma—and I have ADHD myself, so I deeply understand what it's like to manage a neurodivergent brain. I use Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, CBT, and Brainspotting to help clients identify and shift unhealthy patterns, process trauma, and develop practical coping skills. My approach is compassionate and optimistic because I believe seeking help isn't a sign of weakness—it's an opportunity for growth. Whether you're dealing with negative self-talk, difficult relationships, or feeling stuck in old patterns, my goal is to provide support tailored to your unique journey toward greater well-being and personal freedom.

My approach to therapy

I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) as my primary framework, helping you understand the different parts of yourself and why they react the way they do. IFS is particularly effective for trauma, anxiety, and relationship patterns because it helps you develop compassion for all parts of yourself—even the ones that feel difficult or overwhelming. I integrate this with Brainspotting to process trauma through the brain's natural healing mechanisms, DBT skills for managing intense emotions and building distress tolerance, CBT to identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, and mindfulness techniques to cultivate present-moment awareness. My approach is brain-based and neuroscience-informed, recognizing that healing happens when we work with how your brain actually functions rather than against it. I specialize in working with adults dealing with ADHD, anxiety, autism spectrum differences, trauma, relationship issues, and parenting challenges, and I tailor my approach to fit your unique needs and goals.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, my priority is making sure you feel comfortable and heard. We'll spend time getting to know each other—I'll ask about what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to change, and what's been challenging lately. There's no pressure to share everything right away; we'll go at your pace. I'll also explain how I work and answer any questions you have about therapy. My approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental—I believe everyone deserves to belong, to be heard, and to be valued, and that includes you. Many clients leave the first session feeling relieved that someone finally "gets it" and hopeful about the possibility of change. As we work together, you'll learn to understand your own brain better, recognize patterns in your thoughts and emotions, and develop practical coping skills that actually work for your life. My strength is normalizing mental health struggles and helping you see that seeking support isn't weakness—it's courage.
