Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Kristie! I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and graduate of the University of Alabama.

I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also welcome the opportunity to work with you through whatever challenges you may be facing.

I believe everyone’s journey is unique, and I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Whether you’re working through difficult emotions, navigating life transitions, healing from past experiences, or simply seeking a better understanding of yourself, I am here to support you.

Together, we can explore your concerns, build on your strengths, and work toward meaningful growth and healing.

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey toward greater well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is empowering, collaborative, and solution-focused. I believe that every client has strengths and abilities that can be built upon to create meaningful change. My goal is to help you recognize your potential, develop effective coping strategies, and feel more confident in navigating life’s challenges.

I incorporate a focus on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, helping you understand how each influences the others. By identifying unhelpful thought patterns, exploring emotional responses, and recognizing behavioral patterns, we can work together to develop healthier perspectives and more effective ways of responding to life’s challenges.

Therapy with me is a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we focus on your goals, build on your strengths, and identify practical solutions that work for you. My hope is to empower you with the insight, tools, and skills needed to create lasting change and improve your overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we’ll review the necessary paperwork, informed consent, and confidentiality policies to help you feel comfortable getting started.

We’ll discuss your goals for treatment, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from the experience.

Depending on your needs, we may also complete an initial assessment to better understand your concerns and determine how I can best support you.

My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered from the very beginning.
