Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm so glad you found me here. My name is Kristin, and I focus my practice on supporting teens, adults, families, and couples navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, anger, complex family dynamics, school issues, and infertility. Whether you're seeking individual therapy, family counseling, school advocacy, or couples support, my goal is to provide a compassionate and inclusive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.

As a 15 year veteran of school and community-based services, I have a deep understanding of the IEP process, and can serve as a strong partner in ensuring the social emotional needs of your child are appropriately met.

In addition to my work with teens and families, I support individuals on the path to parenthood—including those facing infertility and the emotional complexity that can come with it. As a mother who has personally experienced the ups and downs of that journey, I offer not only clinical expertise but also a deeply empathetic and informed perspective.

I am an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and am committed to providing a safe, affirming, and inclusive space for all clients.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is most effective when it's collaborative, warm, and infused with a bit of fun. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, fostering lasting change. Working with teens and families, I view the family system as integral to understanding and addressing challenges, ensuring that everyone feels heard and supported. Our sessions are designed to be relaxed and engaging, where I actively participate in our discussions. You can expect our time to be conversational, and with a blend of compassion, humor, and practical strategies, I aim to help you gain clarity and develop effective tools to navigate your unique path.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect to feel truly heard and respected. I create a safe and collaborative space where you are empowered to explore your thoughts and emotions. I aim to help you challenge your thinking, try on new ideas, and develop practical tools to cultivate emotional well-being. Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your teen, or your family, my goal is to guide you toward greater understanding and positive change.
