Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kristin! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. In addition to my experience working with teens and adults in a private practice setting, I have over six years of experience supporting preteens and teens as a counselor in the school environment. I specialize in supporting teens and adults through challenges with school, family, relationships, grief and life transitions. While I have a particularly strong background working with adolescents, I also enjoy working with adults of all ages. My primary areas of focus include anxiety, depression, and navigating big life transitions. I believe that prioritizing mental health is an important part of living a happy and fulfilling life. Seeking support can be difficult, so I’m glad you’ve taken the first step!

My approach to therapy

Everyone has a unique story and deserves an individualized approach to therapy. In our therapy partnership, I’ll bring in tools from several therapy methods including Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). We’ll tailor our time together to your specific needs and goals. My style is warm, open-minded, and solution-focused. I believe therapy should feel safe and supportive. I want our work together to help you gain new perspectives, build practical skills, and take meaningful steps in navigating life’s challenges with greater empowerment and resilience.

What you can expect from me

I believe that therapy should feel supportive, not intimidating. I strive to create a welcoming space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being yourself. Our first session is an opportunity for you to share a little about what brought you to therapy, explore what you hope to achieve in this process and how I am able to help. There’s no pressure to share your whole story right away...therapy should move at a pace that feels right for you. As we work together, I’ll listen, support, and gently challenge you along the way. What you will always get from me is compassion and respect for where you are and where you want to grow.
