Great to meet you!

Hi, I am Kristin, a licensed clinical social worker. I have worked in a variety of settings with clients who have a range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and adjusting to life changes. My therapy style is client-centered and grounded in the autonomy and worth of my client. I believe that the most important part of therapy is the alliance created between myself and my client as this alliance becomes the vehicle for change that I often get to witness.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach is relaxed, genuine, and caring. I believe that people are doing their best but can sometimes get stuck. I believe that acceptance and understanding create an environment where folks can figure out what will work to meet their specific goals. I use several modalities in my therapy sessions with clients.

What you can expect from our first session

I am working on becoming EMDR trained and learning how the past is related to the present to foster the long-lasting change that my clients seek. Taking the steps to begin therapy is not always easy, but it can empower folks to create a more fulfilling life. I look forward to working with you.
