Great to meet you!

Therapy works best when you feel seen, heard, and safe enough to be honest. My style is warm, relational, and open. I approach every client with curiosity and without judgment, because growth starts when you don’t have to hide any part of your story.

I believe in meeting you where you are, not where anyone thinks you should be. Together, we’ll identify the challenges and barriers that are getting in the way of your personal growth, and we’ll build practical steps to move past them. My orientation is solution-focused, and I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities so that your care fits you rather than the other way around. My work is trauma-informed, which means going at your pace and putting your sense of safety first.

I have a strong background in treating substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, and women’s issues, including life transitions, identity, relationships, stress, and the pressure of carrying so much for so many people.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with more than 15 years of experience in behavioral health, including clinical care, care coordination, and employee assistance programs. Prior to my licensed work, I spent time working in crisis intervention and care. I also hold the CEAP credential to work with employees and HR and Leaders for coaching, strategy and professional development. My work in this area has spanned the US and global markets, which has given me experience supporting people from many backgrounds and life circumstances.

I’m a big believer in holistic living and whole-person health. I practice meditation and yoga, love gardening, and treasure time with my daughter, my dog, and my family and friends. These things keep me grounded, and I’m happy to talk about them if they might help you in your own growth.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d love to hear from you

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is built on a warm, open, and honest relationship. I believe meaningful change begins when you feel seen and respected, so I take the time to get to know each client, including their unique experiences, values, and goals. From there, we develop a collaborative plan that reflects what matters most to you. I draw on solution-focused techniques to help you move toward the changes you want, highlighting the strengths you already possess and building on them. Along the way, I teach practical skills and strategies tailored to your individual needs, so you leave our work together with tools you can carry with you long after our sessions end.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know one another. This is a time for me to learn about you and your history, including what brought you in to therapy and what you hope to gain from our work together. I like to develop a thorough understanding of your background, upbringing, and current functioning so that I can see the full picture of who you are. Beyond the details of your history, I want to know you as a person, including your strengths, your struggles, and your goals. You’re also welcome to ask me questions, so that you can decide whether we’re a good fit. My hope is that you leave this first session feeling heard, comfortable, and clear on the next steps in our work together.
