Great to meet you!

Born and raised in Northern California, I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of California at Berkeley and my masters at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. As of today, I have been in private practice for almost 20 years and have been an AAMFT-approved supervisor for state and student interns, for almost a decade. I have also co-authored an article in the Journal of Family Psychotherapy, am extensively trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and hold certification as a Parts and Memory therapist.

I treat adult individuals and couples with a wide range of issues, including but not exclusive to depression, anxiety, trauma, physical/sexual abuse, emotional/mental abuse, grief, infidelity, relationship issues/communication, self-esteem, identity issues, phase-of-life/adjustment difficulties, PTSD, and caregiver and compassion fatigue.

My approach to therapy

I believe that all people seek closeness, secure attachment, and belonging. But people often get stuck in fear or anger, bad jobs, toxic relationships, embattled family systems, insecurities, and ego. Hopelessness can take over, resulting in loneliness, frustration, and grief. I believe that my job is to create a space for connection, introspection, conversation, insight, and sometimes, even laughter. Throughout therapy, I provide insight, honesty, and guidance to help clients develop new tools and coping mechanisms. I work in partnership with my clients, helping them develop the power to create changes that yield happiness, healing, and fulfillment in their lives and relationships.

What you can expect from me

Clients experience a comfortable and safe environment where their stories are heard, respected, supported, and valued. We will go over what brings them to therapy at this point in their life, as well as short term and long term goals they would like to see come out of their therapeutic experience.
