Great to meet you!

I look forward to learning what makes each client unique. I specialize in supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and stress, creating a warm and supportive space where you can feel understood while working toward meaningful change. My style is compassionate and curious, balanced with a practical, realistic perspective. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a social worker and served in the military, experiences that strengthened my belief in resilience and the importance of having someone in your corner. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin.

My approach to therapy

Everyone has a story. This story of where we’ve been is powerful and contributes to our journey in the present and the future. Struggles in the here and now can become lighter by having support and a place to reflect on where you want your journey to take you. In hearing your story, I hope to help you to feel seen, heard, and valued no matter where life has taken you.

I believe that all people have worth and strengths. I hope to help to uplift strengths and work through the areas of life that are challenging by using a multifaceted approach. By removing shame and judgment that are so common in our society today, we can begin to work through the hurt of the past to find what is needed to have the healthiest future possible.

In my therapy approach, I work from a strengths-focused, person-centered, and trauma-informed lens to help people learn to value what makes them who they are at their core. I utilize a variety of evidence-based treatment methods, including CBT, DBT, Relational Therapy, and many more. Through these approaches, I hope to foster growth and healing to embrace the best parts of the past while letting go of the aspects that are no longer serving you.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you’re meeting someone for the first time. My priority during our first session is to help you feel comfortable, welcomed, and genuinely heard. We’ll take time to get to know one another and talk about what brought you to therapy, your experiences, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin—I’ll meet you where you are and help guide the conversation. My hope is that you leave your first session feeling valued, understood, and with a sense that you don’t have to navigate things alone.
