Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with over 20 years of experience, I understand the uncertainty clients face when considering therapy. They often view themselves as being “weak” for “needing” therapy. That is the challenge I often face as a therapist-the stigma of mental health. This stigma often keeps people suffering and stagnant rather than growing and healing.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My mantra is “meet the client where they are at.” Building a therapeutic relationship is essential in the work I do with my clients. I believe the client is the expert of their life and I support and encourage this belief in them throughout our work together.

What you can expect from our first session

One of the several treatment modalities I utilize is psychoeducation as a therapeutic tool. This helps clients gain a better understanding of how their untreated mental health causes problems in their lives as well as ongoing emotional pain and suffering. I provide hope which builds upon my clients abilities to make the positive changes they are looking for as they gain a better understanding and develop coping skills to stop the cyclical patterns of what feels like never ending defeat.
