Great to meet you!

For more than 30 years, I have been helping children, adults, and families navigate life’s challenges, heal from difficult experiences, and build stronger, healthier relationships. I am passionate about working with individuals who have experienced trauma, significant life stressors, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions.

I believe healing happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and understood. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences, discover their strengths, and develop a greater sense of peace, resilience, and self-confidence.

I earned my Master of Social Work from Temple University and my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Catawba College. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to meeting each client where they are and helping them create meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Every person brings a unique story, set of experiences, and strengths into the counseling process. My role is to meet you where you are, listen without judgment, and help you identify the tools and insights that will best support your goals.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I work alongside clients to increase self-awareness, develop healthy coping strategies, improve relationships, and process difficult experiences in a way that promotes healing and growth. Clients often describe me as warm, supportive, and easy to talk to while also helping them challenge patterns that may be keeping them stuck.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant life experiences, and what you hope to gain from our work together.

My goal is to create a welcoming, comfortable space where you feel safe sharing your story at your own pace. There is no pressure to have everything figured out. Together, we will begin identifying your strengths, clarifying your goals, and developing a plan that feels realistic and meaningful for you. Most clients leave the first session with a better understanding of how therapy can help and a sense of hope for the path ahead.

These responses have a professional but very warm tone, which tends to perform well on Headway and other therapist directories because clients often choose therapists based on connection and comfort rather than credentials alone.
